Rewind: THE GREAT GATSBY by Buz Luhrmann

OPULENCE ... WHAT ELSE ? Buz Luhrmann in his new movie "THE GREAT GATSBY" , starring amazing Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton and Jason Clarke recreate a parallel universe; the twenties reloaded. To recreate such a magic, sparkling era Buz got a great help from his wife, costume designer Catherine Martin, who, at beginnings, was not such a great fan of Scott Fitzgerald's character: Jay Gatsby. On the screen you can see wonderful creation of Prada, Brooks Brothers and amazing Tiffany jewels, who perfectly made every outfit amazing with a modernist allure that sometimes may differ from originally 1924 cuts and forms. But if you are in love with flappers and roaring twenties, be sure this movie will be you gasp. You will find cloche hat, bobbed hair, stripped blazer, short fringed dress, tailored suits, pearl, feathers, diamonds, tiaras and so many opulent fabrics, colors and garments that during the movie I repeatedly desire having a time machine.
