Rewind: THE MASTER

Last "fashionable" movie I sow this month was "THE MASTER". Behind the camera an undisputed genius: director Paul Thomas Anderson and competing on the scene two of my favorite actors - Joaquin Phoenix and  Philip Saymour Hoffman. Costume designer Mark Bridges ( Oscar 2012 for THE ARTIST, Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter, There Will Be Blood, Fur, Blow, Magnolia...) made a great job and show us a perfect "after II° World War" style. A master job was especially done to gave to the leading character, Freddie Quell (Joaquin Phoenix), a drifting allure; high waisted jeans and trousers, one or two size bigger jackets, white shirts and gaudy ties, but also seaman uniform, leather jacket, rolled up jeans and boots.
On the other side, women wear delicious and flawless dresses, in candy&sweet colors and pattern, but also diamonds and pearls on bright patterned skirts during special occasion. Above all you can't miss the marvelous wedding dress worn by delicious Elizabeth Dood (Ambyr Childers)
