I admit... I'm really obsessed with the '20s and the '30s... in fact I'm here again talking about the magnificent costumes of HBO series BOARDWALK EMPIRE. The story takes action during the Prohibition Era in a super sparkling Atlantic City. John A. Dunn ("Basquiat", "Ghost Dog" and "Broken Flowers") and Lisa Padovani (ass. costume designer for ""The Departed", "Shutter Island" and "Far From Heaven") made a great effort to recreate the "grandeur" atmosphere of those years. Can't miss pearls and fringes, headband and hats, bow ties and flowers, furs and silk. Every garment is meticulously embroidered, from hats to low cut dresses, from collars to skirts. And for this summer 2012 fashion designers took, not for the first time, inspiration from those days: have a look at Gucci , Roberto Cavalli, Etro, Ralph Lauren and Marni
